Why do I have a photo blog?

Why not? Every now and then I manage to take a photo that doesn’t suck completely – and then it would be nice to share it with others. Also, the blog motivates and forces me to pay more attention to the quality of the photos, to find interesting angles and subjects.

Why “pühapäevafotod” (Sunday photos in Estonian)?

Because I am not and never will be a professional photographer. I don’t have the skills, eye, patience or equipment to be a professional. So, my photos are Sunday clicks of a Sunday photographer (“pühapäevapiltniku pühapäevapildid”). I’ve taken photos since I was 7 years old, when father gave me my first camera.

What kind of photos do I take?

Don’t expect amazing animal photos. I don’t have neither the patience nor equipment. I take images of everything I like; often just shadows, reflections and fragments of things.

Why is there an ugly watermark on the images?

I thought it was unnecessary and didn’t add that at first. But like I said, my photos have been used commercially without permission a few times. So I had no other option than to add the watermark. I tried to make it as non-obstructing as possible.
